What this is

This site tells the history of this country in order, from before Melaka to the present day — written as one long story rather than as a textbook.

Where we stand

We do not pretend to be neutral. This site is written from a stated position: evidence first, within the framework of the Federal Constitution, and on the understanding that this country belongs to all of us. You are free to disagree — which is exactly why every source is listed, so you can check for yourself.

This is independent civic writing. It does not represent any political party, government body or organisation.

The two-source rule

Every important fact — every figure, every date, every statement that someone did something — must be backed by at least two sources that are independent of each other. Two reports that both trace back to the same original material count as one source, not two.

This is not just a promise. A program checks it before the site is published: if an important claim is short of sources, that chapter cannot go live.

Opinion is kept separate from fact

Where the writer offers a judgement, it sits in a marked Writer's Verdict box. Everything else is what the documents and records say.

On quoting the Quran

Some chapters quote verses concerning justice, trust, and the treatment of people of other faiths. Every quotation carries the full surah and verse reference, the translation used, and the original context of the verse. We do not trim verses to fit an argument, and we do not issue religious rulings of our own.

If we get something wrong

Tell us. We will correct it and log the correction openly on the Corrections page — with the date and what changed.
